DB-9 - 9m

Telescopic galvanized mast

The DB9 Twin Lighting Tower combines two 9m hydraulically operated lighting masts into one unit, providing twice the light output from one standard base. A Kubota diesel engine powers the DB9 and illumination is provided from the two vertical masts fitted with 4 no. 2000w metal halide lamps. The complete unit is housed within a super-silenced canopy and mounted onto a four-wheeled tow trailer. Four extendable stabilisers ensure that when in operation the DB9 is firmly sited on the ground.

The DB9 Twin Lighting Tower is ideally suited for large construction sites, major highway projects, and prominent outside events particularly where a significant crowds are expected.

We can supply lighting towers to your own specific requirements,

  • Only safety has been considered, because no perception of detail is needed and visual fatigue is unlikely.
However, where it is necessary to see detail to recognise a hazard or where error in performing the task could put someone else at risk, for safety purposes as well as to avoid visual fatigue, the figure needs to be increased to that for work requiring the perception of detail.
The CIBSE (Code for interior lighting) gives more information and recommendation based on scientific knowledge, practical experience, technical feasibility and economic reality.
  • The purpose is to avoid fatigue; the illuminances will be adequate for safety purposes.
